Tour and sake-tasting at a venerable Okazaki brewery

See how sake is made and enjoy tasting different types at Shibata Shuzojo, which was established in 1830 and has been brewing sake for more than 180 years. The outstanding natural environment of the local area creates excellent groundwater. This is drawn from wells and combined with carefully polished rice to brew a mellow sake that you just want to keep drinking. The year before last, a storehouse called Ginjogura was reconstructed and the company made a new start by brewing with kimoto and yamahai-zukuri methods to create sake using traditional methods and natural yeast.
